Much of life is determined by time, seasons, and rhythms. These cycles provide us with the structure we need to prepare, plan, and organize life as we know it. It may be the season to plant a crop, or harvest, or the time to marry, raise a family, establish a career, or a myriad of life stages.

A favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I have a plan for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future”. Reflecting on my life, I can certainly see God’s hand and His timing. Can you? I haven’t always agreed with Him at the time and sometimes have acted like a toddler having a tantrum… but in retrospect, very thankful for His perfect plan and timing.

Is there time in heaven? Or in eternity? 2 Peter 3:8 indicates that God is not bound by time. “But do not overlook this fact beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

One thing we do know is that each of our lives, and the number of days we have on this earth is preordained, and we don’t want to waste one moment. Ecclesiastes 3:1 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven”.

Blessings to you as we approach this season of thanksgiving.
